Mother's Day

I had the. best. Mother's Day. Ever. Seriously.

Sam is simply the best and he made me feel so special and pampered. I just love him so much! It started with this:

Just the cut and color. I don't actually own Chelsea Traille.

And moved on to this:

Holidays are based around food to me. And all you can eat asian food? Definitely screams Mother's Day. Sam indulged my weird love of buffets for a delicious lunch with David in tow. So much fun to have an afternoon out with all my boys.

Then he threw this in:

cutest movie. I don't usually like movies like this but pregnancy has messed with my head a bit. I can't handle scary or intense. Or sad. So this movie was a winner for me. I've never seen anything with Zac Effron in it (besides when he hosted SNL), but I am now a fan. He is a great actor! And this movie was really funny, and irresistably adorable. And best of all, really clean! I highly recommend it.

And finished Saturday with this (yes, we had Mother's weekend, not Mother's Day. I was spoiled):

Not only was my shake delicious, but it was also the cutest place for a date. Full of innocence and romance. I loved it. It made me feel so rejuvinated.

Then Sunday I awoke to this:

Very delicious, and I didn't prepare a thing. Banana nut french toast. Oooh la la!

And this:

Sam loves to play x-box. And I love to watch. But I don't want to play any of his games. I told him I'd play if we had a game I was into. I actually asked him if I could buy a game that was for me so I could play with him. So he went out and found one! So so sweet. We played it before church (and I was horrible), but it was so fun trying to defend Helm's Deep. TO THE KEEP!!!!

And we ended the day on this note:

Again, I did nothing. None of the cooking or the cleaning up after. And it was delicious.

It was such a great weekend. I didn't change one diaper, make one meal, clean one snotty nose, deal with one tantrum, or lift one finger. And that was all Sam's idea. I was so so spoiled! Ironic that my Mother's Day was celebrated by not doing all the things a mom does. So I took a break from being a mom for a day. It was fun. I got thrown back in the real world this morning with poopy diapers, tantrums, food messes, snotty noses, biting (I swear I'm going to start biting back!), and tears. And I loved every second of it. What a reason to celebrate. I love being a mom!!!!

Boy did you get spoiled! I had a very similar weekend, minus the asian buffet and Zac Efron.

My mouth is watering from the pictures of your dinner. Let's talk about that bread, it looks AMAZING...tell me how!!!! I need!

Ooohh...what a wonderful Mother's Day weekend! I'm so glad you were pampered and could relax. I agree that that is what Mother's Day is all about. :) I really, really want to see pics of the new cut. I keep imagining you with it and it already looks awesome!
