Only 50 days to go...but who's counting???

I have been asked by several people to provide a new pregnancy update. I guess it's been a while since my last. Not much has happened these past couple months - besides me growing HUGE! Really, quite large. And I know I still have a lot more to go! It's been 2 months since my last preggo post, so I'm trying to think of what all has gone on since then....

I got rid of my morning sickness (HOORAY!!) and then got it back (boo). I feel normal most days - just really tired. I'm super excited for the baby to come, but then I get sad thinking about him not being in my belly. I love feeling him in there moving around and kicking and punching. It's uncomfortable sometimes but so worth it. It's just beautiful. He's finally moving enough that it doesn't just feel like tummy spasms to Sam but like there's something in my belly, so he really enjoys putting his hands on my tummy and talking to little David. You can also see my belly move - a new development within the last 6 weeks. Sometimes it just bounces up and down like a bag of Jiffy Pop, and sometimes it looks possessed and pokes out all weird directions. Sam thinks that's cool too. The baby's favorite toys are my bladder and my ribs, something I try to distract him from. He also loves to hear Daddy's voice. He wriggles around when Sam sings. He moves around most when Daddy reads 2nd Nephi. Must be a genius because I just find it confusing.

My contractions got worse for a little bit, and I actually ended up in the little OB monitoring room once because I was having contractions about 4 minutes apart for 2 hours. That was scary. But they've really calmed down since and now I only have a couple a day, or sometimes even none at all! The picture to the right is me hooked up to all the monitors. Fun times.

Pregnancy is really treating both Sam and me very well, and we are anxiously awaiting the day we get to hold our little baby!!!! Although Sam tells David to "stay in there" every day, and always prays that we'll carry to term. Even though we didn't think we would carry to term for a while there, I really don't think we have any cause for concern now. And now, back by popular demand, pictures of the infamous growing belly! Enjoy!

It is crazy to look at these pictures cause the growth has been gradual enough that I cant believe her belly hasn't always looked as big as is does. Especially cause she has stayed so skinny everywhere else and she looks so good. It shocks me as much as it would anyone to see the progression in these pictures.
